プロフィール

早稲田大学国際学術院国際教養学部教授。専門は日中関係論、国際関係論。

2002年香港中文大学日本研究学科卒業、2004年同大学政治学修士、2009年早稲田大学にて博士（国際関係学）取得。2012年から早稲田大学現代中国研究所所員。2025年にはスタンフォード大学客員研究員を務めました。

研究テーマは、日中関係、日本の外交・防衛政策、国内政治と外交政策のリンケージ、日中関係における誤認識と和解構築、東アジアの国際関係と安全保障です。

Mong CHEUNG is Professor of School of International Liberal Studies (SILS) at Waseda University, Japan. He served as a visiting scholar at Stanford University (2025). His research interests include contemporary Sino-Japanese relations, Japan’s foreign and security policy, foreign-domestic linkage in Chinese and Japanese foreign policy, misperception and reconcilitation in China-Japan relations, and comparative strategic culture. He is the author of Political Survival and Yasukuni in Japan`s Relations with China (London: Routledge, 2017, Paperback, 2018) . He has published widely in peer-reviewed international journals such as The Pacific Review, Pacific Affairs, East Asia Forum, The Diplomat , Journal of Contemporary China.
